How Quiz Challenges Work
Learn how Quiz challenges operate on theJoshHub — daily credits, categories, levels, scoring, and how to maximize your Points earnings.
What Are Quiz Challenges?
Quiz challenges are trivia-based activities that reward you with Points for each correct answer. Questions are organized into categories (such as Trivia, History, Science) and each category contains multiple levels with increasing numbers of questions.
Daily Quiz Credits
Every day, you receive a daily allowance of Quiz Credits based on your subscription plan. Each question attempt uses one credit. When you run out of daily credits, you will need to wait until the next day for your allowance to reset. The reset time is based on Philippine time (Asia/Manila).
Daily credit allowances by plan:
- FREE: 5 credits per day
- BASIC: 10 credits per day
- PREMIUM: 20 credits per day
- PRO: 50 credits per day
These values may be adjusted by the platform administrator. Check your plan details for the current allowance.
Categories and Levels
Quiz categories are top-level groupings of related questions. Each category contains one or more levels, and each level has a set number of questions you must answer correctly to complete it. Some categories may be restricted to certain plans — if a category is not visible to you, it may require a higher plan.
Answering Questions
When you start a quiz attempt, the platform loads a question and deducts one credit. You type your answer and submit it. The system compares your answer to the accepted answers for that question:
- Correct answer: You earn Points (the amount depends on the category, level, and your plan). The next question loads automatically.
- Wrong answer: You can retry the same question without losing another credit. The correct answer is not revealed — you must try again.
Some questions require exact answers (case-sensitive, exact spacing), while others accept normalized answers (case-insensitive, punctuation ignored). The question type is set by the administrator when creating the question.
Completing a Level
A level is complete when you have answered the required number of questions correctly. When you complete a level, you will see a summary screen showing your progress, Points earned, and remaining credits. If there is a next level in the category, you can navigate to it directly.
Tips for Maximizing Earnings
- Use your daily credits every day — unused credits do not carry over.
- Start with categories you know well to build up Points quickly.
- Read hints carefully — they are designed to guide you toward the correct answer.
- If you get a question wrong, think about alternative spellings or phrasings before retrying.
